What makes KAI Cookie Artistry's cookies different?

The cookies come in two different thickness. Most of the cookies that I sell at the markets are 1/4″ thick, while the custom orders are 3/8″ thick (which are thicker than most cookies sold wholesale). I also use a lemon-vanilla recipe which balances the sweetness of the icing. In some instances, the flavours will be altered to fit the season or the occasion. Finally, every batch is baked fresh and decorated on the same day.

What are the ingredients in the cookies?

Sugar cookie ingredients:
Flour, butter, eggs, sugar, vanilla extract, lemon emulsion, baking powder.
Royal icing ingredients:
Sugar, meringue powder (corn starch, egg whites, sugar, gum arabic, calcium sulfate, citric acid, cream of tartar, artificial flavours, silicone dioxide), water, gel food colouring, corn syrup.
Other decorations:
Sprinkles, edible airbrush colours, edible marker, decorative sugar

What size are the cookies?

The sizes vary depending on the shape of the cookie. Additionally, because these cookies are hand-cut, the final products may have slight size variations.
Minis: 4 to 5 cms.
Regular: 6.5 to 8 cms.
Large: 8.5 to 10 cms.

Do you have gluten-free cookies?

At this point, I do not offer a gluten-free option.

How much are the cookies?

Prices vary depending on the size and the design. You can click here to view and ready-to-order designs in store. Otherwise, you can also click here to see the custom order prices.

What is the shelf-life of the cookies?

The cookies can last between 2 to 3 weeks as long as you keep them in a cool and dry place.

How are the cookies packaged?

The cookies are packed and sealed in clear cello heat-sealed bags. If they are going to be couriered, the cookies will be packed with bubble wrap and shredded paper in a carton.

How do I submit an order?

You can go directly to the shop by clicking here. Choose from the current designs in store and proceed to checkout. If you are after a custom design, click here to submit a quote request form.

What are the payments accepted?

For online orders, I accept payments via direct bank transfer and credit or debit card (Visa and Mastercard).

At the markets, I accept credit or debit card (Visa and Mastercard), cash, and EFTPOS.

Do I need to pay a deposit for custom orders?

Yes, a 50% non-refundable deposit is required to confirm the order. Your order will not be listed on my calendar unless the payment has been confirmed.

Do you accept refunds or cancellations?

No. Due to the preparation required for the product/s that you are ordering, refunds and cancellations are not accepted unless I am given a one month (30-day) notice.

Do you ship?

Yes, shipping is available anywhere in New Zealand. Flat shipping rate is $10 anywhere in NZ for orders below $100. Customers get FREE SHIPPING for orders over $100.
Please be aware that due to the fragile nature of the cookies, I always package them as best as I can, however, I cannot guarantee that they will arrive undamaged. Any damage that occurs during shipping and delivery is beyond my control. By submitting and paying for an order, it means that you’re accepting this risk.

Can I pick-up my order?

Yes, but keep in mind that pick-ups are only by appointment and cannot be rescheduled. If you fail to pick-up your order on the original date and time scheduled, it will have to be shipped to you and the shipping rate will apply.

How long will my order be processed?

All cookies, whether purchased from the shop or custom ordered, are freshly baked and decorated, this process usually takes up to 48 hours depending on the design. I endeavor to have your orders delivered within 3 to 4 days after the order was placed.

For large orders, 50 pieces or more, please allow a minimum of one week for the order to be completed.
